Being the chronic perfectionist I am, entries on my blog simply never seem to happen. I have plenty of wonderful things to talk about, but the thought of seeing my imperfect thoughts set in stone for all to see is often too painful to bear. Perhaps I shouldn't be so pedantic. After all, the delete button exists for a reason.
Anyway, I thought that in order to get my creative juices flowing I might write my thoughts on each devotion in Thomas à Kempis' "Imitation of Christ". Between the four books there are 114 devotions, so even if I write a post every day the project will take me three and a half months. I won't do it for anyone else - it will simply be for my own nostalgia and edification.

i know what you mean about the perfectionism, it's very hard to start new diaries/blogs. it's so pressure-to-perform-y. so much pretty white space to be filled and it can't be sullied by inferior thought processes.
but it'll probably be much easier once you've started.
Thankyou for your encouragement and your decision to christen my blog, Anonymous. Please feel free to drop by anytime.
